Centrally located on beautiful Long Island New York’s south shore, Lynbrook was founded in 1894. The name "Lynbrook" is derived from "Brooklyn", as a tribute to the original home of many of the town's turn-of-the century residents.
Bethpage Federal Credit Union 3rd Annual Long Island Small Business Survey Breakfast, March 5 2014
Dear Lynbrook Chamber Members,

The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards ceremony on Jan. 22 at the New York Elks Lodge. Although the weather was brutally cold and there was a recent snowstorm, the festivities were full of warm wishes as we honored four devoted individuals of our community.

Congratulations to our honorees Jennifer Derrig of the Lynbrook Irish Shop, Recreation Director Patrick McDermott, Lynbrook Fire Chief Edward Hynes and Police Inspector Ronald Fleury.

The evening could not have been better planned, and I would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to our Chamber secretary and dinner chairwoman, Carol Burak, who, along with her committee members, Linda Stephenson, Bill Gaylor Jr. and Steve Wangel, did an amazing job.

It’s a pleasure to be the president of such a fine organization, and to have the opportunity to work with individuals who are always giving of themselves.

Denise V. Rogers
President, Lynbrook
