Centrally located on beautiful Long Island New York’s south shore, Lynbrook was founded in 1894. The name "Lynbrook" is derived from "Brooklyn", as a tribute to the original home of many of the town's turn-of-the century residents.

The Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce depends on dedicated volunteers to help make decisions, support the local business community and coordinate events. Joining a Chamber committee is your chance to get involved, meet other business leaders, put your expertise to good use, and help shape the decisions that affect the businesses and community of Lynbrook. The following is a list of current Chamber committees, to get involved contact the Chamber.  

Event Committees:  
  Taste of Lynbrook Committee (Fall Event)  
  Car Show Committee (Summer Event)  
  Pre Prom Party Committee (Summer Event)  
  Golf Outing Committee  

Economic Development Committees: 

  Shop Local Committee 
  Fundraising Committee: Art Auction, and   Lynbrook Street Fair  
  Membership Committee : Liaison to new area business with the goal of developing a positive awareness of the Chamber.

  Schedule Advertising : Almanac, and goodwill ads
